Semicon Europa turns 30
Celebrating its 30th anniversary, Semicon Europa returns to the New Munich Trade Fair Centre the week of April 3 with expanded activities in the photovoltaic (PV), MEMS, and nanotechnology areas. Areas will be dedicated to PV and R&D companies, and MEMS equipment and materials suppliers will be specially identified throughout the three exhibit halls (which will be open April 4–6). Additional focus areas will highlight suppliers from the wafer processing and final manufacturing sectors. The gamut of conferences, symposia, workshops, and standards meetings includes the 10th annual Fab Managers Forum (April 3, at the Arrabella Sheraton Grand Hotel in Munich), the International MEMS/MST Forum (April 3), and the second annual International Advanced Photovoltaic Manufacturing Technology Conference (April 5). In a nod to the increased PV presence at Semicon Europa, Bertrand Piccard, the first person to balloon around the globe nonstop, will discuss “Solar Impulse,” his new project to build and fly a solar airplane in a new circumnavigational voyage, at the show reception on April 4.
